ERA Pledge and Jus Connect Join Forces to Promote Diversity in Arbitration

Press Release

Paris / London, 16 April 2024

Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge (ERA Pledge) and Jus Connect proudly announce their new collaboration aimed at advancing diversity and inclusion within the global arbitration community.

ERA Pledge is a global initiative committed to fostering diversity and increasing female representation in arbitrator appointments, with the vision of achieving equal representation in arbitration. Jus Connect, a leading platform for the selection of arbitration professionals, shares this vision and actively works towards supporting inclusiveness within the arbitration space.

Through their cooperation, ERA Pledge and Jus Connect will combine their resources and networks to:

  • Raise awareness about the importance of diversity and gender balance in arbitration.
  • Support seasoned and aspiring arbitrators to develop their profile on Jus Connect.
  • Offer resources to enhance public awareness of diverse viewpoints in dispute resolution.

Hanh Huynh, Head of Jus Connect, commented:

“Our collaboration with ERA Pledge reinforces our commitment to promoting an inclusive and fair selection process in arbitration. Together, we aim to enlighten the legal community on diversity initiatives and support underrepresented groups in elevating their professional profiles.”

Ashley Jones, Secretary of the ERA Pledge, said:

“Raising the visibility and profile of diverse arbitrators is key to securing the equality goals of the ERA Pledge. The collaboration with Jus Connect will help to diversify the pool of arbitrators on its database and provide an accessible platform for women to showcase their arbitration experience and credentials.”

The partnership will see select ICAC arbitration awards and related materials hosted on Jus Mundi’s comprehensive international law and arbitration database.
