EMAC and Jus Mundi Announce an Exclusive Partnership for Sharing Non-Confidential Arbitration Awards

Jus Mundi and the Ethiopian Mediation and Arbitration Center (EMAC) are delighted to announce an exclusive partnership making EMAC’s non-confidential arbitration awards accessible through Jus Mundi’s global platform. The collaboration advances Jus Mundi’s mission to democratize access to arbitration intelligence by bringing East African legal perspectives to practitioners worldwide.

Under the partnership, Jus Mundi will host select non-confidential EMAC awards and related materials, enabling legal professionals worldwide to access Ethiopian arbitration precedents through advanced search capabilities and Jus AI insights.

Speaking about the partnership, Lensa Biyena, Executive Director of EMAC, stated:

About EMAC

Ethiopian Mediation and Arbitration Center (EMAC) is a non-profit, non-governmental civil society organization established in 2004 by Ethiopian legal professionals to promote access to justice through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Re-registered in 2019 under Proclamation 1113/2019, EMAC operates from its head office in Addis Ababa with branches in SNNPR and Amhara.

EMAC provides arbitration and mediation services, conducts nationwide ADR training and public education, and engages in legal research and advocacy. It has served over 2,000 clients, contributed to the development of Ethiopia’s ADR legal framework, and played a key role in launching court-annexed mediation. EMAC continues to strengthen peaceful dispute resolution and legal reform across Ethiopia.
