Through the exclusive partnership, CAM-CCQ will select non-confidential CAM-CCQ arbitration awards and related information for Jus Mundi to host on its open public database, allowing anyone in the world to search these materials using Jus Mundi’s open research tools.
Speaking about the partnership, Carlos Zaldumbide, Executive Director of Quito Chamber of Commerce, stated that:
“Regarding the importance of CAM-CCQ’s work, it’s pivotal to underscore its role in providing individuals and institutions with alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and local/international arbitration. By maintaining confidentiality in arbitration, CAM-CCQ upholds professional standards while simultaneously enhancing transparency and fostering business certainty. Additionally, its provision of academic training in alternative dispute resolution contributes to skill development in this critical field. As the largest and sole ISO 9001-certified arbitration and mediation centre in Ecuador, CAM-CCQ sets the standard for excellence in conflict resolution.”
In relation to the new partnership, Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO & Co-Founder of Jus Mundi, stated that:
“Arbitration itself is an act of solidarity between parties to a dispute to reach a peaceful resolution – and it is with this in mind that Jus Mundi has formed this partnership in solidarity with CAM-CCQ in Ecuador. We look forward to this partnership that will provide the public, researchers, lawyers, and students of the law, with a greater access to understanding peaceful dispute resolution in Ecuador and the Latin American region.”
Following the announcement of the partnership, CAM-CCQ and Jus Mundi will begin incorporating non-confidential CAM-CCQ awards and related materials into Jus Mundi’s comprehensive international law and arbitration database.
