ICAC and Jus Mundi Announce an Exclusive Partnership for Sharing Non-Confidential Arbitration Awards

Press Release

Paris, 1 February 2024

The International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICAC) and Jus Mundi are delighted to announce a new partnership to share anonymized and pseudonimized ICAC arbitration awards and related ICAC arbitration materials, free to the general public, for greater global understanding of arbitration in Ukraine, and for the benefit of the public good.

In the exclusive partnership, ICAC will select and anonymize arbitration awards and related information for Jus Mundi to host on its open public database, allowing anyone on the planet to search these materials using Jus Mundi’s open research tools.

Speaking about the partnership, Mykola Selivon, President of ICAC, stated that:

“The ICAC has been one of the leading and the most experienced arbitration institutions in Eastern Europe for over 30 years, registering around 300 international cases annually. The ICAC’s decades of arbitrating as well as our unique experience of ensuring institutional sustainability during the martial law period are a valuable contribution to the global knowledge on international arbitration, and we are delighted this would be available globally.”

Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO & Co-Founder of Jus Mundi, said:

“One of the most important aspects of international arbitration is its proven ability to bring about peaceful resolution to both commercial and investment disputes. Jus Mundi is therefore pleased to bring anonymized ICAC arbitral awards to the world in both Ukrainian, Russian, and English languages. Through publicly hosting these awards, the legal community will gain enhanced understanding of ICAC arbitration practices. We are also aiming to boost the global understanding of the value of international arbitration in the region.”

The partnership will see select ICAC arbitration awards and related materials hosted on Jus Mundi’s comprehensive international law and arbitration database.
