The Ifriqya Arbitration Forum and Jus Mundi announce a partnership to boost global knowledge of arbitration from North-African jurisdictions

Press release

Paris & Tunis, 16 December 2022

The Ifriqya Arbitration Forum and Jus Mundi are delighted to announce a partnership to give the arbitration community greater access to key decisions on arbitration from North-African jurisdictions.

Under this partnership, Jus Mundi will provide global access to arbitration materials from countries across North Africa for free to anyone in the world with an internet connection.

The Ifriqya Arbitration Forum is an ambitious project gathering North African Arbitration practitioners to promote arbitration & ADR in North Africa as one of the most efficient dispute settlement mechanisms; give exposure to North African arbitration practitioners both regionally and internationally; promote diversity, equity, and inclusion among North African practitioners; empower women practitioners & involve the youth to shape the next generation of North African arbitration practitioners.

North Africa underpins a significant proportion of global economic activity, giving rise to an ever-growing proportion of commercial and investment arbitration disputes. For this reason, Jus Mundi is delighted to join forces with the Ifriqya Arbitration Forum in its mission to provide the world with better access to open up important materials in Arabic and French languages through its network of North-African practitioners.

Speaking about the partnership, Sami Houerbi, President, & Sana Belaid, Secretary General of  the Ifriqya Arbitration Forum, stated:

“Allowing our members to access a trusted and highly professional source of legal information is a substantial step towards success. With this respect, we highly value our partnership with Jus Mundi and look forward to collaborating with Jus Mundi to enhance the working environment of the region’s professionals”.

Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO of Jus Mundi, said of the partnership:

“This is an important partnership for Jus Mundi as we are determined to leave no jurisdiction out of our mission to democratize legal knowledge on international law and arbitration globally, for the benefit of the public good. We are immensely proud to work together with the the Ifriqya Arbitration Forum on this partnership to make easily accessible the arbitration jurisprudence and practitioners from North Africa ”.

To make accessibility a reality, Jus Mundi has developed specialized subscriptions and access to Jus Mundi for the Ifriqya Arbitration Forum members.
