Baku Arbitration Centre and Jus Mundi Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Arbitration in Azerbaijan

Press Release

Paris/Baku, 27 March 2026

The Baku Arbitration Centre (BAC) and Jus Mundi, the legal AI company powering global arbitration intelligence, are pleased to announce a partnership to strengthen Azerbaijan’s position as a hub for cross-border commercial arbitration and expand global access to dispute resolution expertise from the region.

Announced during Paris Arbitration Week, the collaboration brings together Azerbaijan’s first independent arbitration centre and Jus Mundi’s global legal intelligence platform in a shared effort to increase the visibility of Azerbaijan’s arbitration landscape and make its institutional resources more widely accessible to the international legal community.

Through this partnership, BAC’s arbitration-related resources will be made freely available on Jus Mundi to legal professionals and academics in over 100 countries. The collaboration will support broader access to legal knowledge, encourage engagement with Azerbaijan’s arbitration framework, and contribute to the exchange of expertise across jurisdictions.

It also reflects a shared commitment to legal innovation, arbitration best practices, and the development of future practitioners. By connecting BAC’s resources with Jus Mundi’s global audience, the partnership will help showcase the evolution of arbitration in Azerbaijan and reinforce the country’s place within the wider international arbitration community.

Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO & Co-Founder of Jus Mundi, stated:

“We are proud to partner with the Baku Arbitration Centre at an important moment for arbitration in Azerbaijan. This collaboration is about more than access to materials, it is about supporting the growth of arbitration through greater visibility, stronger best practices, and broader access to legal knowledge. By working together, we hope to help connect BAC’s expertise with the global arbitration community and contribute to the development of the next generation of practitioners.”

Dr. Umar A. Oseni, Secretary-General of the OIC-AC, commented:

“We are delighted to announce the conclusion of this Memorandum of Understanding with Jus Mundi, a partnership that marks a significant milestone for the Baku Arbitration Centre and for the broader development of arbitration in Azerbaijan and the region. By making information about our institution, our rules, and our awards more accessible to the international legal community, we are opening a new chapter in our engagement with practitioners, academics, and businesses across the world. Visibility and transparency are the foundations upon which trust in any arbitral institution is built, and this collaboration with Jus Mundi — the world’s leading platform for international arbitration and international law research — will ensure that the Centre’s work reaches a truly global audience. We firmly believe that this partnership will not only strengthen the Centre’s profile internationally, but will also contribute to positioning Azerbaijan and the wider region as an attractive and credible seat for international arbitration. We look forward to a fruitful and lasting cooperation with Jus Mundi in pursuit of our shared commitment to the advancement of international arbitration”
