IGET and Jus Mundi Partner to Advance Global Esports Dispute Resolution

Press Release

Geneva/Paris, 7 May 2025

As the esports industry continues to mature, the International Games and Esports Tribunal (IGET) and Jus Mundi are joining forces to bring greater clarity and accessibility to the legal processes that underpin competitive gaming, through a new partnership focused on making key dispute resolution materials more available to the global community.

The collaboration will focus on improving access to legal and procedural resources that reflect how disputes are addressed across the esports and gaming industries. By surfacing valuable insights and information through Jus Mundi’s global legal platform, the partnership aims to support a more informed and consistent approach to dispute resolution.

Beyond access, the initiative is designed to promote transparency, foster legal education, and strengthen understanding of the frameworks that govern esports. It will benefit both legal professionals and industry stakeholders, working to support the integrity and sustainable development of the competitive gaming ecosystem.

Stephen Hanna, Executive Director of IGET, stated:

“IGET was created to be at the forefront of international dispute resolution for esports and video games. Jus Mundi, the flagship legal database and tech provider of the international arbitration community, immediately appeared to us as the ideal partner to help carry out IGET’s mission. We look forward to this exciting cooperation.”

IGET Secretaries General Rodolphe Ruffié-Farrugia and Leonid Shmatenko added:

“The profile of IGET is unique in the international arbitration scene. All aspects of this new arbitral institution are resolutely modern: its users, its rules, its platform, its parents. It was capital to join forces with another resolutely modern, like-minded actor in the field to make publishable IGET awards as accessible as possible, to all, online.”

“Partnering with IGET is an exciting step in bringing greater transparency to the esports legal ecosystem,” said Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO & Co-Founder of Jus Mundi. “This initiative aligns with our commitment to democratizing access to international legal information and supporting the development of emerging legal fields.”
