CAM-CCBC and Jus Mundi and Announce First-of-Its-Kind Partnership to Publish AI-Generated Summaries of Arbitration Awards Using Jus-AI Technology

Press Release

Paris, 10 Oct 2024

The Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CAM-CCBC) and Jus Mundi are pleased to announce an innovative partnership aimed at enhancing public understanding of arbitration in Brazil through the open sharing of arbitration materials and AI-generated summaries of arbitration awards selected by CAM-CCBC.

This pioneering project leverages Jus Mundi’s generative AI technology (Jus-AI) to create summaries of CAM-CCBC-selected awards, promoting greater transparency and access to information while ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality and information security.

As part of this initiative, a comprehensive collection of AI-Generated Summaries of CAM-CCBC’s Awards will be published on Jus Mundi’s website on a CAM-CCBC dedicated webpage. This collection will serve as a valuable resource for understanding and analyzing arbitration proceedings and for gaining insights into how legal concepts are applied in practice, highlighting the groundbreaking nature of this first-of-its-kind project.

CAM-CCBC’s rules, summaries, guidance publications, and other arbitration-related materials selected by CAM-CCBC will also be hosted by Jus Mundi on its open public database. These materials will be easily searchable, providing users with valuable insights into arbitration proceedings in Brazil. Additionally, Jus Mundi will continue to publish the composition of arbitral panels for cases administered by CAM-CCBC, further enhancing transparency and fostering greater trust in the arbitration process.

Speaking about the partnership, Rodrigo Garcia da Fonseca, President of CAM-CCBC, stated:

“The partnership with Jus Mundi is another important step forward in the process of transparency and promoting the development of arbitration, which are two of CAM-CCBC’s public commitments. Sharing information on awards will allow the study and use of arbitration in Brazil to be expanded, as well as demonstrate to the international market the degree of maturity of the use of Appropriate Dispute Resolutions mechanisms in the country.”

Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO & Co-Founder of Jus Mundi, affirmed:

“We are thrilled to embark on this groundbreaking partnership with CAM-CCBC. By harnessing our generative AI technology to create summaries of CAM-CCBC’s arbitration awards, we are setting a new standard for transparency and accessibility in international arbitration. This initiative not only demonstrates our commitment to innovation but also empowers stakeholders with clearer insights into arbitration proceedings, fostering greater trust and understanding in the process.”
