Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) Expands Collaboration with Jus Mundi to Enhance Access to National Court Judgments in Arbitration

Press Release

Riyadh | Paris, 26 March 2024

The Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) proudly announces the extension of its valued partnership with Jus Mundi to facilitate broader access to arbitration-related national court judgments from the Saudi Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court. The prolonged collaboration reinforces SCCA and Jus Mundi’s shared commitment to promoting transparency, accessibility, and excellence in the field of commercial arbitration.

As part of the cooperation, SCCA and Jus Mundi will make more than 1,000 national decisions readily available both locally in Saudi Arabia and to the entire international legal community. By utilizing Jus Mundi’s extensive database and AI-powered resources, navigating Saudi judgments will be streamlined to offer a deeper understanding of arbitration proceedings.

Commenting on the strengthened partnership, Dr Hamed Merah, CEO of SCCA, stated:

“SCCA is delighted to further enhance its collaboration with the Jus Mundi platform, aiming to bolster knowledge dissemination efforts pertaining to the arbitration industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This collaboration involves the publication of a comprehensive collection of judicial judgments issued by the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia concerning arbitration. By doing so, we aim to promote transparency, shed light on Saudi judicial precedents in the field of arbitration, and strengthen the predictability and efficacy of arbitral award enforcement.”

Jus Mundi’s CEO, Jean-Rémi de Maistre, commented:

“At Jus Mundi, our mission is to ensure inclusive access to arbitration resources to power global justice. We greatly value SCCA’s confidence in entrusting our database for this significant project, enabling the global accessibility of arbitration-related Saudi judgments.”
