Jus Mundi & De Gruyter Brill Expand the Brill International Law Library with The Hague Academy of International Law Collected Courses

Press Release

Paris, France – 24 March 2026

Jus Mundi & De Gruyter Brill announce the inclusion of the prestigious Hague Academy of International Law Collected Courses (Recueil des Cours) into its global legal research platform. This integration brings over a century of leading international law scholarship into a fully searchable and accessible digital environment for practitioners worldwide.

Founded in 1923, The Hague Academy of International Law is widely regarded as the world’s leading center for advanced teaching in public and private international law. Its Collected Courses comprise more than 400 volumes and approximately 200,000 pages of lectures delivered by distinguished academics, practitioners, diplomats, and arbitrators from around the globe. Together, they form what is often considered as the most important encyclopaedic publication in international law.

The collection spans a wide range of topics, including public international law, private international law, and international arbitration, and is regularly cited by tribunals and scholars as an authoritative reference. Beyond the core volumes, it also includes complementary series
– the Centre for Studies and Research, the Colloques/Workshop Series, and Special Editions
– further extending its scope across emerging and specialized areas of international law.

The courses will be available within Jus Mundi and fully integrated into Jus AI, Jus Mundi’s arbitration intelligence agent. Users can efficiently navigate this extensive body of scholarship, identify key legal concepts, and connect doctrinal analysis with arbitral decisions and other primary sources. Advanced search and AI-assisted insights enable seamless movement between academic commentary and practice, enhancing both the speed and depth of legal research.

“The Hague Academy’s Collected Courses are the most authoritative bodies of international law scholarship in the world. Bringing them into Jus Mundi and integrating them with Jus AI is about giving this extraordinary resource a new dimension — making it instantly searchable, connectable to case law and arbitral decisions, and available wherever practitioners need it. Our goal is to amplify what already exists, so that foundational academic knowledge can inform legal practice in real time, for users everywhere.”

Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO & Co-Founder, Jus Mundi

“We’re delighted to see the Hague Academy Collected Courses included on Jus Mundi. This collaboration strengthens our reach within the global community of legal practitioners and leverages the platform’s advanced AI capabilities and intelligent discovery tools to help practitioners access exactly the content they need, when they need it—enhancing both visibility and the overall learning experience. By bringing our international law content to a cutting‑edge, AI‑driven environment, we can empower today’s legal professionals more effectively than ever.”

Maurits van den Boogert, CPO De Gruyter Brill

This addition forms part of Jus Mundi’s continued expansion of its premium legal content offering, in collaboration with leading publishers such as De Gruyter Brill. By bringing the Hague Academy’s teachings into its platform, Jus Mundi reinforces its mission to democratize access to essential international law resources and to support a more informed and connected global legal community.
