The British Virgin Islands International Arbitration Centre (BVI IAC) and Jus Mundi are delighted to announce a partnership to share non-confidential BVI IAC arbitration awards and related BVI IAC materials globally for the public benefit.
Under the partnership with BVI IAC, Jus Mundi will host select BVI IAC non-confidential arbitration awards and related information, allowing anyone in the world to search these materials using Jus Mundi’s advanced AI-based platform and open research tools.
Speaking about the partnership, Shan Greer, CEO of BVI IAC, stated that:
“As a strong advocate of education and staying on the cutting edge, we are pleased to partner with Jus Mundi in making resources available online. This is also a great opportunity for the wider arbitration community to gain further insight on the type of arbitration cases that frequently arise in the Caribbean”
Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO & Co-Founder of Jus Mundi, said that:
“Since its founding early last decade, BVI IAC has grown to become the preferred destination for domestic and international arbitration in the Carribean and the region beyond. For this reason we are delighted that the world will have access to BVI IAC non-confidential arbitration awards and related materials, on Jus Mundi’s open platform.”
The partnership will see select BVI IAC arbitration awards and related materials hosted on Jus Mundi’s comprehensive international law and arbitration database.
About BVI IAC
The BVI International Arbitration Centre (BVI IAC), an independent not-for-profit institution, was established to meet the demands of the international business community for a neutral, impartial, efficient and reliable dispute resolution institution in the Caribbean, Latin America and beyond.
The Arbitration Act, through which the BVI largely adopted the UNCITRAL Model Law, and the BVI’s accession to the New York Convention on 25 May 2014, are crucial steps, which made possible the establishment of a viable and internationally respected arbitration centre in the BVI.
