New Partnership With the Sports Arbitration Moot

Press Release

Paris, 25 October 2021

Jus Mundi has partnered with the Sports Arbitration Moot to offer complimentary access to Jus Mundi Legal Research. We are very pleased to be supporting the first-ever moot on sports arbitration.

Jus Mundi’s most comprehensive sports arbitration database will be helpful for all participants’ research.

The Sports Arbitration Moot participants will have access throughout the competition until 7 March 2022.

Additionally, the Best team and Best legal research of the Moot will get one-year free access to Jus Mundi Legal Research as a prize.

Training Session will be organized for all participants during the SAM Camp*, on Wednesday, 1 December 2021. The time will be announced soon.

About the Sports Arbitration Moot

Despite its distinctiveness in the field of arbitration, sports arbitration is seldom part of the curricula of law faculties. When finishing their law studies, most students have never even heard about sports law arbitration. The Sports Arbitration Moot (the “SAM”) aims at changing this by introducing sports arbitration to the next generation of arbitration practitioners.

The SAM is an annual team competition for students in law schools. Moot competitions are fundamental tools for the legal education of future practitioners, who get to develop their advocacy skills while completing their studies. The SAM aims at contributing to the creation of a broader and more knowledgeable sports arbitration community.

The SAM consists of a competition where teams will make oral submissions as claimant and respondent. The 2022 edition of the SAM will be held online, with final rounds taking place in person in Zurich.

You can find more information about the Moot here.

*About the SAM Camp

The SAM Camp is a five-day crash course on sports arbitration. Mooties enrolled in the SAM Camp will get an introduction to sports arbitration and advocacy skills, which will allow them to be better prepared for the Moot that will take place a few months later.

You can find more information about the SAM Camp here.
