Jus Mundi Introduces Jus AI: A Game-Changing GPT-Powered AI Solution for the Arbitration Community

Press Release

Paris, 13 February, 2024

The Paris and New York-based legal tech announces an exclusive early access program with leading international law firms and institutions, to fine-tune their latest artificial intelligence innovation trained on Jus Mundi’s unique global case law database.

Jus Mundi, the French legal tech pioneer, announces the launch of Jus AI Assistant, the first international legal assistant based on generative AI. Powered by its proprietary technology called Jus AI, this groundbreaking tool leverages multiple large language models (LLMs), including GPT-4 and Jus Mundi’s comprehensive global case law database. This innovative service will be operated worldwide in partnership with Microsoft to ensure top-tier security and confidentiality of the legal data processed by the Assistant.

An Exclusive Early Access for Elite Law Firms (and Institutions) Worldwide

Among the meticulously selected law firms, Jones Day, Chaffetz Lindsey, and Greenberg Traurig in the United States, Freshfields and Three Crowns in the United Kingdom, Bredin Prat, GBS Disputes and Wordstone in France, Al Tamimi & Company in the UAE, WongPartnership in Singapore, and Tozzini Freire in Brazil are already part of the initiative. Global arbitration institutions such as ICC, ICSID, and AAA are also joining the first-of-its-kind AI program.

“This development marks an important step in our ambition to establish Jus Mundi as the world leader in legal technology and artificial intelligence,” emphasizes Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO and Co-Founder of Jus Mundi.

“Through this program, our goal is to empower law firms and legal professionals globally to address their business challenges with unparalleled reliability and security.”

The First Gen-AI Assistant for Arbitration and International Law

Since its founding in 2019, Jus Mundi has consistently developed Jus AI to be able to efficiently process international legal data.  In 2021, the legal tech raised €8.5 million to accelerate the development of its artificial intelligence and launched in 2023 a Gen-AI-powered legal summarization tool.

Today, Jus AI Assistant extends these innovations to a whole new level, enhancing legal professionals’ abilities in legal research, analysis, drafting, and translation in multiple languages. The solution offers a drastic increase in lawyer productivity, and access to reliable, contextualized global legal answers in any language, while guaranteeing confidentiality and security.

“At Bredin Prat, we are always looking for ways to leverage technology to better serve our clients. Bredin Prat has supported Jus Mundi since its creation, convinced that its innovative research tools could foster powerful synergies. Partnering with Jus Mundi on the Jus AI project was, therefore, a natural choice,”said Marina Weiss, a Partner of International Arbitration at Bredin Prat.

“We see this AI product as a game-changer for arbitration practices, offering the promise of streamlining complex case analysis and fostering a deeper quantitative understanding of legal precedents. By enhancing decision-making with AI-driven insights, we anticipate Jus AI will significantly benefit the arbitration community, setting a new standard for legal research and analysis,” she added.
