CAC-CCB and Jus Mundi Announce Partnership for Sharing Arbitration Materials

Press Release

Paris, 29 March 2023

The Center for Arbitration and Conciliation of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CAC-CCB) and Jus Mundi are delighted to announce a partnership to make non-confidential CAC-CCB arbitration materials freely available to Colombia and globally, for the benefit of the public good.

Under the partnership with CAC-CCB, Jus Mundi will host select CAC-CCB non-confidential arbitration materials and information, allowing the general public anywhere in the world to search for materials using Jus Mundi’s advanced AI-based platform and open research tools.

Speaking about the partnership, Santiago Díaz-Cediel, Head of International Arbitration at CAC-CCB, stated that:

“CAC-CCB is proud to team-up with Jus Mundi, one of the leading search engines in the global legal community, to foster wider access to select, non-confidential, international arbitration materials, as part of our joint effort in strengthening the international rule of law. As CAC-CCB continues to administer cases with parties from all of the six continents, this partnership allows CAC-CCB to renew its globally-oriented offer of international services, while enhancing transparency and increasing visibility in one of the most important economies in the Americas.”

Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO of Jus Mundi, said that:

“CAC-CCB has over 40 years of supporting businesses in Colombia and the region in the resolution of disputes, ensuring efficient and effective outcomes for all. This partnership focuses on sharing CAC-CCB’s non-confidential arbitration materials to further enhance the global understanding of CAC-CCB arbitration processes, while ensuring that confidentiality continues to be respected.”

The partnership will see select non-confidential CAC-CCB arbitration material hosted on Jus Mundi’s comprehensive international law and arbitration database.

About CAC-CCB

The Center for Arbitration and Conciliation (CAC) of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) was established in 1983 as a response to the needs of Bogotá’s entrepreneurs in resolving, in a timely and cost-effective manner, their conflicts and disputes.

Since its foundation and for 40 years, CAC-CCB has promoted the use of ADR in Colombia and throughout Latin America, from a privileged location in the heart of the Western Hemisphere. Often regarded as the “Doyen” of Latin American arbitration institutions, CAC-CCB administers international arbitration proceedings under its own rules of procedure and under the UNCITRAL Rules –including its expedited arbitration rules, in three of the main languages of the Americas: Spanish, English and Portuguese. International disputes administered by CAC-CCB range from complex commercial contracts to great infrastructure (construction) projects, and include foreign investment-related and societal-control disputes.
