The Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration<\/a> (NCIA) and Jus Mundi<\/a> are delighted to announce a partnership to exclusively share non-confidential NCIA arbitration awards and related NCIA materials globally, for the benefit of the public good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Under the partnership with NCIA, Jus Mundi will host select NCIA non-confidential arbitration awards and related information, allowing the general public to search these materials using Jus Mundi\u2019s advanced AI-based platform and open research tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking about the partnership, Lawrence Muiruri Ngugi, CEO of the NCIA<\/strong>, stated that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAs a Centre for arbitration, NCIA recognises the value of the twin principles of transparency and confidentiality. This collaboration provides a healthy balance between the two by respecting confidentiality whilst enabling transparency. NCIA will strive to support business – settle disputes on the one hand and on the other, promote an environment where learning and knowledge may be appropriately shared.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Jean-R\u00e9mi de Maistre<\/strong>, CEO of Jus Mundi<\/strong>, said that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNCIA is one of the mainstays of international arbitration in the East Africa Region, with its influence as a place of dispute resolution reaching far beyond its home in the heart of Kenya. Part of Jus Mundi\u2019s mission and purpose is to make available international law and arbitration materials to everyone, in every corner of the globe.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n He continued:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are delighted that the whole world will now be able to have access to NCIA\u2019s non-confidential arbitration awards and related materials, which will be available on Jus Mundi.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n The partnership will see select NCIA arbitration awards and related materials exclusively hosted on Jus Mundi\u2019s comprehensive international law and arbitration database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA) is a centre for promotion of international commercial arbitration & alternative forms of dispute resolution. The centre was established in 2013 by an Act of Parliament the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration Act No. 26 of 2013 as a Centre for promotion of international commercial arbitration and other alternative forms of dispute resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NCIA offers a neutral venue for the conduct of international arbitration with commitment to providing institutional support to the arbitral process. In addition the NCIA caters for domestic arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution such as mediation.
